Operational Readiness
Training & Evaluation
Train the full skill set.
Then prove it, on a real leak field or under real conditions.
ORTE is K9 Water Leak Detection University's five-day, in-person capstone for canine handler teams. Teams move through classroom instruction, scenario-based fieldwork, and work deployments, all to prepare the team for deployments and to attempt certification.

Standards & Terminology
The certification standard your team will actually be tested against, and the shared vocabulary used across the industry in both the canine detection and the water utility worlds.

Odor & Infrastruture
Treated water odor properties, and how pipe material and depth shape the way leak odor reaches the surface.

Field Operations & Safety
Work in residential, commercial, and infrastructure environments, and the integration of canine teams with acoustic crews and utility personnel. Build a complete inspection report, maps, GPS, indication notes, the documentation a utility or regulator actually needs.

Operational Readiness
Training & Evaluation Outcomes
You're working on real infrastructure and preparing real utility-grade documentation all week, not sitting through theory. So when you leave, what you've practiced is exactly what a contract will ask of you: walking onto a job site, running the search, and handing over a report that holds up. Teams leave with more than a grade; they leave ready to take on contract work with confidence.
